Here are the average calories for beer and liquor. Remember that there is no safe amount for the consumption of alcohol. Also, if you are under 21 years of age you are NOT allowed to drink in the USA and possibly in other parts of the world.

Average Calories from Alcohol:

8 beers = 1,200 calories

2 shots of liquor = 250 calories

Total: 1,450 calories (extras)

1 beer = 150 to 200 calories

1 shot of liquor = 125 to 150 calories

If you are 21 years of age and are allowed to drink here are some guidelines to follow:

Average Percentage of Alcohol:

Beer: 4%

Liquor: 30%

Wine: 12%
